The Lonely Soldier Monologues aims to highlight the problems faced by women in the military in a public forum - creating more debate and further change as there is still more to do.
Tuesday 28th April - Women in Conflict: Violence, Injustice & Power
Prof Helen Benedict, Dr Katherine Brown (Defence Studies, Kings College) and Dr Marsha Henry (Gender institute, LSE) will discuss gendered dimensions of contemporary conflicts inspired by Helen's writing. Held at The London School of Economics.

Thursday 14th May - UK & US Military Justice Systems
Emma Norton, Solicitor from Liberty, will discuss the Military Justice campaign.
She will be joined by Helen Benedict.

Thursday 15th May - #Everyday Sexism
Laura Bates, founder of The Everyday Sexism Project will be conducting a Q&A. The Everyday Sexism Project is an ever-increasing collection of over 100,000 people’s experience of daily gender inequality. The testimonies come from people around the world and the Project has quickly become an international movement. 9-9.30pm After the performance and is free with a ticket to the show.
Thursday 21st May - Domestic and Sexual Violence in the UK
The debate has been widened to include domestic violence and will be discussed by Dr Susan Bewley, researcher into domestic violence in pregnancy and editor of ABC of Domestic and Sexual Violence (Wiley 2014) and Dr Fiona Vera- Gray from Rape Crisis.

Wednesday 27th May - Post Traumatic Disorder - is it the same in male and female soldiers?
Mark Evans who left the British Army in 2010 after reaching the rank of Captain discusses being diagnosed with PTSD after his return from Afganistan.
